The Weight of Water: Carrying What God Never Asked You To

Some of you are tired…

not because life is hard—

but because you’re carrying things you were never meant to hold.

Expectations.
Responsibilities.
Emotional burdens.

All added weight.

When Water Becomes Heavy

Water gives life…

but when carried incorrectly, it becomes exhausting.

And many of us are carrying:

  • Other people’s expectations
  • Other people’s emotions
  • Outcomes we can’t control

Biblical Anchor

Matthew 11:28:

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened…”

Notice—

God acknowledges the burden.

But He doesn’t ask you to keep carrying it.

Signs You’re Carrying Too Much

  • You feel constantly responsible for others
  • You struggle to rest without guilt
  • You feel pressure to “hold everything together”

What God Is Actually Asking

Not more effort.

Not more control.

But release.

Reflection

What are you carrying right now…

that God never asked you to hold?

Closing Truth

You don’t have to carry everything.

You were never meant to.
